Auto insurance is required for each automobile registered in the State of Texas . A minimum of $15,000 of Liability is required. Other coverage is optional.
- Liability - coverage of damage to someone else's body or car caused by policyholder.
- Collision - coverage of damage to policyholder's car caused by policyholder.
- Bodily Injury - injuries the policyholder cases to someone else.
- Medical Payments or Personal Injury Protection (PIP) - for treatment of injuries to the driver and passengers of the policyholder's car.
- Comprehensive - for damages to the policyholder's car not involving a collision with another car, such as theft or damage from fire, earthquakes, floods and riots.
- Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist - coverage for policyholder's property in the even that a person damages your property,
but is not insured or the damage exceeds that person's limits
on insurance.
